What We Believe

God

There is one true and living God. He is the Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (Genesis 1:1; John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the true God and true man. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and by His substitutionary death on the cross, He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body, and ascended into heaven where, at the right hand of God, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 24:46; John 1:1–18; John 5:30; 1 Timothy 2:5; Philippians 2:5-11)

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. Through illumination, He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. During this age, He convicts men of sin, regenerates the believing sinner, and indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living and service. (Genesis 1:2; Luke 12:12; Luke 24:49; John 6:65; John 14:16–17; John 14:26; John 16:7–14; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:10–14; 2 Timothy 3:16)

Salvation

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and comes only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection. Salvation is offered freely to all who admit they have sinned, receive Jesus Christ by faith, and accept Him as Lord and Savior. (Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23-24; Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9;1 John 1:9)

Sanctification

Sanctification is the experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God’s purposes, and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual maturity through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. (Romans 6:19; Galatians 5:22-25)

Future Events

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth. There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead and Christ will judge all men in righteousness - of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (Matthew 16:27; Matthew 24:30; Matthew 24:36; John 14:3; Romans 14:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7–10; Revelation 20:12-15)

The Church

The true Church is the body of Christ, which consists of all such persons who have received Jesus Christ as their personal savior and the local church is the place of membership where God has called believers to receive His Word on a consistent basis, to grow spiritually, and fellowship with other believers. (Matthew 16:15–19; Acts 2:41–42; Hebrews 10:25)

The Scriptures

The Holy Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and is the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. Believers are entrusted with the mysteries contained therein and are responsible for sharing its truths in its purest form with simplicity and understanding. (Deuteronomy 4:1–2; Psalm 19:7–10; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 2:9-13; 2 Timothy 3:15–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)

Water Baptism

Christian baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, is the immersion of a believer in water soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior. Water baptism is a public demonstration of an inward work, symbolizing one’s death to sin, the burial of their old life, and their resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. Water baptism is in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:13–17; Matthew 28:19; John 3:23; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:35–39; Acts 16:30–33; Romans 6:3–4)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

It is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46)

Healing

Jesus is our Healer, and by His stripes, we are already healed. Divine healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ to those who believe and act on the truths written in God’s Word. Divine healing is the restoration of health - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. (Isaiah 53:5; Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35; Acts 10:38; Matthew 10:1)

Christian Authority

The name of Jesus has all authority behind it as demonstrated through his teachings and actions, and as delegated to believers. Believers claim the authority of Jesus Christ as He has instructed in the Word and evoke the name of Jesus in the activation of their faith toward experiencing the manifestations of His power in their life. (Matthew 10:1; Matthew 28:18; Mark 16:17; John 14:13-15; Acts 3:6)
